defer css and Isotope

Hello,
I’ve been using AO for a while now and it’s great.
Recently I have a problem with my theme and AO. On the start page of my theme the recent blogposts will be placed with the isotope js. But with about 1 out of 10 page loadings, the positioning of the elements is wrong (I could see it mostly in firefox, but also in chrome it already happened). I have tested it on several PCs, some of them always have the bug, others never have it.
In the Theme-support-forum they told me that it could be because the css is loaded after js. Also some other plugins using (probably) this javascript will fail.
But I would like to continue using “derfer css”.

See Screenshot: https://s1.postimg.org/3u2i22i7an/Screenshot-2017-10-16_Krug_Floristik.png
and what it should look like: https://s1.postimg.org/6zxbat9kyn/Screenshot-2017-10-16_Krug_Floristik-2.png

Can you help me to fix this?
Sorry for my bad english.
Best regards

Why auto optimize creates so large cache file?

I am using auto optimize 2.2.2 and the cache file is growing very very fast. I have gone trough 5/6 pages in support forum and you have suggested to disable “aggregate in-line JS” and optionally “aggregate in-line CSS”, in my case both are disabled how I can deal with it? But more important part is why it is happening?

Needing to empty cache manually 3+ times per day

Hi

we have been using Autoptimize on our new social network site. The site is quite busy but not hugely busy.

We are currently needing to clear the cache at least 3 times per day. It’s usually full within a couple hours. Is this normal?

Is there a way to get it to empty itself automatically when it hits 100%

Thanks.

Cache Behavior

Hi Frank,

Could you tell me what happens to the AO css/js cache when changes are made to the theme or plugin css (such as during updates)?

For example, if i already have my.css generated for the site by AO, and then later that css changes, is that change automatically reflected in AO? Or do i have to clear the AO cache?

I started wondering this because i realized the AO cache doesn’t seem to have an expiry time.

Thanks!

Hi, could you tell me why the css created by AO is not render blocking for me? I have above the fold content inlined, is that why? Or does AO async the css or do something else? Thanks

Map not displaying

Hey there!

A map we had on the front page isn’t loading when I have the JS optimized. I have excluded the js files below and combinations with the other JS optimize buttons in that box. I even talked with our host (WP Engine) and they can’t seem to find the issue. It pulls up a 404 error even though the files are there.

Live site with JS Opt disabled:
PremierDisability.com

Dev site with JS Opt enabled:
https://pdsreview.wpengine.com/

Exclude scripts from Autoptimize:
jquery.vmap.usa.js, jquery.vmap.js, jquery.vmap.min.js, jquery.vmap.packed.js, jqvmap.css

And if it helps this is the line of code on our page-home.php that’s adding that section in.

			<script type="text/javascript">
            jQuery(document).ready(function() {
                var links = {
                    <?php
                    if($children){
                        foreach($children as $child){
                            echo strtolower(get_field('state_short_code',$child->ID)) . ":'".get_permalink($child->ID)."',";
                        }
                    }
                    ?>
                };
                jQuery('#vmap').vectorMap({
                    map: 'usa_en',
					borderColor: '#ffffff',
					color: '#cfcfcf',
					backgroundColor: '#ffffff',
					borderWidth: 3,
					enableZoom: true,
                    showTooltip: true,
                    hoverColor: false,
                    onRegionClick: function(event, code, region){
                        event.preventDefault();
                        window.location =links[code];
                    }
                });
            });
            </script>
            <!--<![endif]-->

CSS breaks with Autoptimize

Autoptimize Causes CSS Errors

Hi!

The CSS for m client’s website works fine until I select “Optimize CSS” in the Autoptimize settings. After that, the header styles won’t load in Safari, and sometimes won’t load in Google Chrome or Firefox. As soon as deselect the “Optimize CSS” option and delete the Autoptimize cache, the CSS works normally.

What’s causing this?

Hi there,
my visual text editor is not working with the autoptimze plug-in and says tinymce is not defined.
What do i have to enter in the javascript options – exclude script?
I already tried: wp-included/js/tinymce/ which was recommended in an other request.
Thanks

Anomaly: Autoptimize & Cache Enabler

Hi Frank:
When Autoptimize & Cache Enabler are used together, Enabler notifies us that Autoptimize is already minifying script and to set Enabler to off (inline and defer or HTML)
However, when I set Enabler to inline and defer and deactivate Autoptimize my speed nearly reaches 100 on gtmetrix.can this be summarized and where does that leave my use of Autoptimize plugin (if still needed) for any advantages?
Thanks

Autoptimize causes blank spaces in shop loop

In my Woocommerce shop loop, I divided each row into 4 products. The first 2 rows are fine, but afterwards you see a row (3) with only 1 product. Rows 4 and 5 do show 4 products (as they should) again. Somehow, Autoptimize causes 3 blank spots in row 3. If I de-activate the plugin, the problem is solved. Any idea how I can fix this?

conflict with wp job manager

Good afternoon.

The first thing I wanted to tell you is that I love your plugin, it has made my website much faster. I had some problems at the beginning with the header but I have managed to solve them.

However, revising the web a little more I have found another problem that I can not solve. I have installed the wp job manager plugin, and it works, generally perfectly with autoptimize. However, in one of the pages that you create to upload your job offer, the job description does not work as it should. It does not load the options of bold, underlined and other options. Similar to the description of this same forum. Only load the square and when you write the color of the letter is white and can not be seen. How could I solve it?

Thanks again.

Rubén

Optimize CSS Code

Hey Frank. Just updated our theme (Enfold) to the latest version. Afterwards, all Fontello icons were broken. The quick fix was to uncheck Optimize CSS Code.

After some more testing, I can leave Optimize CSS Code checked, but any options underneath that section…breaks the icons again.

I’d like to continue to use the options in this section, so I’m wondering if it’s possible to exclude the Fontello elements. Googled around and I’m not sure what file I would even exclude.

Appreciate any insights.

CSS and JS not minified

$

Replies: 1

Hi!

My client’s website has Autoptimize installed, but according to Google PageSpeed Tools, CSS and JS aren’t minified. The exact same settings are used with my own website where CSS and JS are minified as normal. This site is hosted with a different web hosting service, though.

I already followed the recommendation to disable ‘Save aggregated script/CSS as static files?’, but this doesn’t seem to make a difference.

Anything else I can do?

Thanks!

Can’t get rid of “Autoptimize’s cache size is getting big” message

The error message in the admin “Autoptimize’s cache size is getting big” won’t go away. My cache is at 1%, so that’s not the issue. I don’t have “Also aggregate inline js/css” clicked at all.
And i’m on cloudflare.

Any other suggestions of how to remove this message?

Autoptimize breaks SkyVerge WooCommerce XML Export Plugin

Like the title says, scheduled exports stop working with the Autoptimize plugin enabled. It also breaks functionality to manually export customers or orders with SkyVerge’s Customer/Order XML Export plugin.

Any way to solve this, or maybe you can point me to the Autoptimize code responsible for it, so I can propose a solution?

Color social share buttons changed

Hi Frank,

I just installed Autoptimize (and then WP Super cache). I speeds up my site, so that’s great.

The only thing is that the colors of the social share buttons changed from orange to grey. The social share buttons are created with a plugin WP Socializer. The page is generated with Geodirectory plugin.

How do I set the social share buttons (back) to orange?

Thanks, Peter
