“Archive” version and images missing

I started having this problem this week.
I have a real estate website. One of the pages shows the properties we have.
In the explorer tab name, the page name appears with the word “archivo” attached ( “archive” in English (it is an Spanish website)) but I think it has something to do with cache version of the website.

Any idea?

I use this same topic to ask you about another problem I have.
The first time I get to any of the pages on this site, the background image of the title doesn’t appear. If you refresh the page, it will show the actual background image.

Something similar happens with main page, where the first image normally appears in a lower resolution until you change tabs in the explorer and come back to this website or until you change the size in the explorer, when the image “recharge” in the correct resolution.

Thanks!

I tried optimzing the site with the plugin, but upon testing, the site still makes way too many HTML and Javascript requests that make the site slow.

How do you combine javascript loading (i have a slider) so the site can be faster.

can you add the minify and combine css and js files specifically to the woocommerce page? because I also use assets management per page and the autoptimize plugin doesn’t work optimally on that page.

Hello ,

After quite sometime using your plugin i again came up into a problem.
On the page above, my client said that after some updates the google analytics are dropped dramatically. Like 500 persons a day suddnely after 16/1 they are 5 to 10 people a day. I checked out if there are any errors and i found out the 2 below :

1) Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ‘<‘
53f2b58e335a3f2892a4cc0c0.js:49

2) Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘settings’ of undefined
at 53f2b58e335a3f2892a4cc0c0.js:49
at 53f2b58e335a3f2892a4cc0c0.js:63

Is there any chance that the errors above could cause any problems in Google analytics and produce any short of conflict in the platform?

(I also have excluded js/ganalytics.js in the js exclution section.
Below is the whole exlution list: jquery.js, ct_checkjs_register_form, wp-content/uploads/cached-scripts/, js/ganalytics.js . Problem also appeared the day that i also excluded the cached-scripts in order for the site to work properly.
Autoptimize plugin and WordPress are up to date to the latest versions.)

Thank you

Preload Specific Requests

Hi Frank,

Why do you warn users about the “Preload Specific Requests”?

Is it because it’s not supported by all browsers or maybe because people might try to preload non-critical resources?

Many thanks,

Johnny. 🙂

Cache Size All Of A Sudden Growing Out Of Control

I didn’t change any settings on Autoptimize but now I’m getting messages twice a day saying the cache size is growing too large, nearly 1GB when I get the message.

I don’t have “Let Autoptimize also extract JS from the HTML” toggled on and as I said I didn’t change any settings from what I’ve had for about a year. Is there any way to debug why the cache is growing so quickly?

Strange Behaviour – DNS error

Hi,
It sounds like voodoo but i was able to repeat the behaviour. I used Autoptimize for one Website without Problems. For another Website -> if i activate the plugin, i cannot reach my website cause of a DNS error. BUT calling support (ISP in Germany) -> they can reach the site. Its a local Problem. From my Smartphone (other internet connection) i was also able to reach the Site. From all Computers in my WLAN i cannot reach the site.

So i opened the WP Dashboard on the smartphone – deactived the plugin – voila – Site is reachable from all devices in all networks.
I have no idea what happend, but i had the same beaviour before.
Can it be: interaction with another plugin which causes the beaviour? or – the Website has an IDN Domain – called http://www.selbst-stärkung.at. Could this be the problem?

best regards from Vienna

Autoptimize CSS file is still render-blocking

$

Hello. Before installing Autoptimize, Google Page Speed Insights (GPSI) reported many CSS files in its “Eliminate render-blocking resources” section. I installed and configured Autoptimize, and as expected, GPSI no longer flags those CSS files as render blocking.’ But instead, it flags the file wp-content/cache/autoptimize/css/autoptimize_d6f7ccd8b904316f721d545a4a2ff90b.css` as render blocking (<a href=”https://i.imgur.com/FQ92sCO.jpg&#8221; rel=”noopener” target=”_blank”>screenshot</a>). I’m just curious if this is expected, or if I can do even more ensure this file is not render-blocking.

Maybe to alleviate that, I have to take the next step, and install/configure the Autoptimize Critical CSS Power-Up plugin?

Thanks!

Lazy Load images coming out at wrong size

Hi there!

I use AutoOptimize on my site – its great! Thank you for the good work.

I recently updated to the latest 2.6.1 using lazy loading and noticed that images are really small when lazy load is enabled. Some screenshots below.

1. Correct sizes (Lazy load disabled)

2. Incorrect sizes (Lazy load enabled)

For now I have disabled AutoOptimize to get the correct sizing of images. If you need further info to reproduce let me know. The lazy loading is a great way to get the page speed score of a site up.

Thank you!

When I look at the Waterfall on a speed report I see:

  • wp-content/cache/autoptimize/css/autoptimize_ba842d559d3337a491bf39ecbe9dc6b2.css
  • wp-content/cache/autoptimize/css/autoptimize_single_57e97dfc0bb4736520d75c3795b0367d.css?ver=1578512579
  • wp-content/cache/autoptimize/css/autoptimize_single_f8e4fb0c0ab2dafc030cd838ee44dcfc.css?generated=1578327882&ver=1.8.14

Shouldn’t there only be a single css file?

Remove unused CSS

I have one more similar question about my Google PageSpeed Insights report. Now that I have Autoptimize installed/configured, in its ‘Remove unused CSS’ section, GPSI lists the the Autoptimize CSS file (screenshot). Is that expected at this point?

This time I checked the FAQ 🙂 I don’t see anything specifically about this issue. But, there *are* entries related to above the fold content. Is this an issue that is again resolved by using a service like criticalcss.com?

Ezoic plugin compatibility

Hi Frank,

I’ve recently installed the Ezoic integration plugin (from the Ezoic add network) and basically it breaks all my Autoptimize optimizations – I get several red flags in PageSpeed, like ‘Defer offscreen images’, ‘Serve images in next-gen formats’, ‘Efficiently encode images’ and so on. I never got these before installing the Ezoic integration plugin. Do you know if there’s anything that can be done about it?

Thanks!

Images not loading, AO demo site also has same problem

Images on site are all not loading – if AO is deactivated this fixes the problem. AO’s demo site (https://autoptimize.com/) also seems to have the same problem.

The site was working fine the last I worked on it. Is this a temporary issue with Shortpixel? Would appreciate any help on this.
