Hello. I have installed and activated this plugin and configured it. After going to Pingdom, I still get the error “Combine external JavaScript”. How do I make it so the external JavScrpit is combined and the error doesn’t show up anymore and my website speed increased?

Hey guys,
First, some feedback… love the new critical css powerup. Was using the old one for a while, but the new automated feature is AWESOME!
I know that in the ‘extra’ tab there is the option to turn off Google fonts… which is great, but it would be awesome if we could also:
1. turn off ALL fonts
2. specify/upload the fonts we DO want
I have tried and tried to get rid of fonts, and can’t find a good solution. The theme loads a bunch I don’t need (and the only way to get rid of is to edit the parent theme)… plugins upload them (assuming I would also have to edit the plugin files to stop these)… etc.
Would love to be in control of the fonts on my sites!

1. What is the optimal Google Font setting that will make the site fast without breaking or affecting the google fonts used in the site?
2. I have searched for hours looking for ways to set up Pre connect to the 3rd party setting.

We have a site in development at the minute – we tried AO on it, but it seems that any of the boostrap css gets ignored when we Optimise CSS Code.
Any ideas as to what may be causing this issue?

Hi, I installed Autoptimize and I ticked the box for both Optimize CSS and Optimize JavaScript code.
However, it seems that only Optimize JavaScript improved a little as I saw an improvement in Pingdom’s “Combine external JavaScript” error. “Combine external CSS” error is still the same even when I ticked that box in Autoptimize settings.

I have a site called mallorcabylandandsea.com I am changing my primary domain to mallorcayachtsandproperty.com. We set this site up with a clone of the original site. Will your plugin continue to work as normal on the new site or do I need to make any changes. Also if I were to add a subdomain to my site would your plugin work on both or would I need 2 accounts. (I use your free plugin) Thanks !

Hello,
Somehow autoptimize seems to work half..? HTML and CSS are both checked still, all is very readable with comments on the page source.
Keep HTML comments is not checked so I would presume comments not to show.
Already reinstalled the plugin, resulting in the same.

I am thinking of upgrading to PHP 7.2.9 on my site. I believe you are planning an update to Autoptimize 2.4. Is it coming soon? If so, maybe I should just disable it and wait for the new version? PHP Compatibility Checker found 11 Warnings, and I don’t know how to fix them!

Thanks for WordPress’s best plugin…
My site has a gazillion plugins and huge number of images… loads in 2 seconds in large part to AO…
however… apparently among these plugins are some that might be loading jquery improperly or some other issue has popped up
with AO activated I get 5 different errors –
Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined
my first guess is that different versions of jquery are getting called by the plugins… but it could be something different
is their a trick to search the plugin code looking for a call to load jquery – I’m not sure what a common method would be? I have downloaded all by plugin files to my computer so I can search them
is there something else doing this do you think?
deactivating/activating clearing cache and loading page to look at error report would take hours…

Does Autoptimize combine inlined CSS and JS as WP rocket does? So that the user can take advantage of caching the CSS and JS in a file and use in combination with CCSS and only serve as critical as intended above the fold? That would make a lot on the speed.
This to decreases file size increases maintainability of CSS and ti not forces Browsers to do more Render-Cycles. So it would be best if we could move all inline CSS to a central CSS-File.

When html optimized is enabled, does that also remove all the little Guttenberg html type comments in the code? ie. the wp-heder and wp-paragraph, and wp-list opening and closing comments.

What are the correct settings for expire headers and css optimization if you need to update CSS?
After enabling expire headers for CSS, I was not able to update CSS, so I removed expired headers and disabled CSS optimization. I also unchecked the “Save aggregated script/css as static files?” option to get things to work again. I had CSS optimized and that option checked previously before setting expire headers.
I am using Autoptimize and Cache Enabler on the development and staging servers.
There is a Sucuri firewall in front of the site that is suddenly causing problems as well with blocking access to Autoptimize files. I’m not able to experiment with Sucuri since it is only on the live server.
Sucuri also has a cache that is redundant to Cache Enabler, but that is another issue with how to optimize caching.

If within Autoptimizer I specify to not optimize js code, the images lazy load via the A3 lazy Load plugin. I’ll post a ticket on A3 Lazy Load as well.

Hi !
My client (Editor role) have modified some articles, but the date is updating on the front only if the Autoptimize cache is clearing after modifications. I don’t want that my client be as an administrator to access to the Autoptimize clearing cache.
So is there a fix to have the updates keep live at the front ?
