Error in Googles Rich Result Test

Hey There!

We just do the GooglesRichResultTest for our site that you can see above.

lazysizes.min.js?ao_version=2.6.1

Hi Frank,
I have been using AO for a long time.

With the 2.6.x version I noticed that you added the ao_version=2.6.x parameter to lazysizes.min.js file.
While that could be good to refresh browser cache when you update the plugin, it leads in some annoyances for performance-mad people like me 🙂

Please let me explain: I use Cloudflare workers to push pre-load resources hints into the HTTP headers. So I’m pushing lazysizes.min.js, among other resources, without the parameter. This was perfect until now, since I had 2 benefits:
– Never change the worker code after an update of AO plugin
– lazysizes.min.js was seen as static resource, so it was cached by Coudflare on their edge servers.

Do you think it could be possible to remove the unwanted parameter from AO (maybe using a flag in configuratio)?

Cart checkbox logic?

I am a bit confused by the wording of this setting:

Also optimize shop cart/ checkout?
By default Autoptimize is also active on your shop’s cart/ checkout, uncheck not to optimize those.

Can you clarify:

1. Do I CHECK OR UNCHECK it if I DO NOT want autoptimize to run on my cart and checkout page?

Actions fire when JS/CSS is refreshed?

Hi,

I use a full page cache and was wondering if there is an action that fires that I can connect my full page cache to when autoptimize makes any changes to the JS/CSS I am serving. There is time when my page cache has a referencec to a stale JS/CSS file that has already been rebuilt.

I’m looking to do something like:

add_action('autoptimize_on_regenerate_js_or_css', function(){
    MyFarOutPageCache::flush();
});

When I check my Pagespeed, there is always an issue with browser caching not enabled for:

https://s0.2mdn.net/ads/studio/Enabler.js

Or

s0.2mdn.net

When I Googled it, I initially found that 2mdn.net belongs to Google/Doubleclick, but the “s0” addition is possibly malware. Turns out this is not true.

Because then I found the below linked Google Support page that shows why Google automatically adds —

script src=https://s0.2mdn.net/ads/studio/Enabler.js

Answer:

https://support.google.com/richmedia/answer/2672553?hl=en

So it seems like one of my banners (made by someone else) is using HTML5.

Any way your plugin can optimize for or cache s0.2mdn.net?

Autoptimize cannot write to the cache directory

Hi, I have one question I have moved website from go daddy to Aws. But there is one issue appearing that “Autoptimize cannot write to the cache directory”. I have google it and found that I have 775 permission for plugin directory. So I have changed it to 755. But still same error is appearing. One more issue, If i install the new plugin, then this issue is appearing as well “Installation failed: Could not create directory.”
Please guide me how to resolve it

I installed Autoptimize along with Hummingbird. with hummingbird Asset Optimization off. This was working 2 days ago, now when i check it nolonger loads the other pages.

Inline and Defer CSS

hello when i add the Inline and Defer CSS for better results for 1 second it looks weird because the style is comes later it looks without any css style .
how can i fixed that and dont have that display delay to users ?

Since last update there is a problem with Divi builder (elegant theme).
Indeed it become impossible to upload image/video from the builder.

Nothing happens if clic.

It was ok before

Mod Pagespeed and Autoptimise

I just fixed this but if anyone has the same issues. I installed Google’s mod_pagespeed onto my apache server which made my site blisteringly fast. But I started to get 403 errors on all things cached by Autoptimise.

There is a conflict between the caching rules of Pagemod and Autoptimise but you can fix it by adding the following to your .htaccess file.

<IfModule pagespeed_module>
ModPagespeed on
ModPagespeedDisallow “*/wp-includes/*”
ModPagespeedDisallow “*/wp-content/*”
</IfModule>

Full disclosure I also use Cache Enabler.

PHP Warnings

Hi all,

Great plugin and I am a happy user of Critical CSS and Shortpixels because of you.

I switched hosts recently and started to see these warnings coming up quite a bit in the error logs:

PHP message: PHP Warning: file_put_contents(/home/wp/disk/wordpress/wp-content/cache/autoptimize/autoptimize_1fe2cc38ff239151a1bee702aecd81c6.img): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/wp/disk/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/autoptimize/classes/autoptimizeCache.php on line 111

This happens for multiple different autoptimize files.

Any idea what I can do to fix this? I want to avoid unnecessary load on the CPU.

Google Page Speed Tool

When I run a speed test with Google’s tool it reports that I have unused css.
Not sure what to make of this, how can I have so much unused css.

FacetWP 3.4.5 & Autoptimize 2.6.1 Conflict

When Autoptimize is active, Facets from FacetWP are not displayed on pages. When Autoptimize is deactivated the facets do appear and function properly.

I have tracked down the conflict to existing between Autoptimize & FacetWP by deactivating all other plugins (though interestingly enough I did discover another instance of a conflict that occurs between Lazy Load By WP Rocket & FacetWP in which the facets appear on the page but do not function).

I have attempted to exclude individual FacetWP plugin files as well as the entire FacetWP plugin directory of ‘wp-content/plugins/myFacetWP3.4.5/’

Does anyone have experience with successfully running FacetWP & Autoptimize together?

AO and CSS Conflict

Hi guys, first message here so I will try to be as thorough as I can but I do have minimal knowledge with WordPress (This is my first WordPress build)

So I used AO to help reduce JS and CSS files. Now when i use it for JS I dont seem to have any issues, from what I can see.

But when I Aggregate CSS I get an issue with my Mobile Sidebar Menu. In mobile view it sticks out into the middle of the page.

When I turn off Aggregate CSS it goes back to normal.

I have tried to find out what CSS to remove from AO but I can’t work it out!

Any ideas or things I can try?

Problem with Aggregated js-file after the update

Hello,

Plugins-theme and wordpress are up-to-date to the latest versions.

After i updated the autoptimize to the latest version i got the errors bellow in teh console:

1)Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ‘<‘
That this is inside the folder of cache /autoptimize/js/autoptimize_45e0f457….

2)(index):566 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘setDefaults’ of undefined
at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> ((index):566)
at i (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2)
at Object.fireWith [as resolveWith] (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2)
at Function.ready (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2)
at HTMLDocument.J (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4-wp:2)

3)Uncaught TypeError: f.hoverintent is not a function
at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (admin-bar.min.js?ver=5.3.2:1)

4)Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘settings’ of undefined

Before the update i was using the option : “Aggregate JS-files”. After the update i got the errors above so i had to disable this. If this is disabled all work ok but GT-metrix complains to defer-parsing of JS.

I have also excluded the jquery from optimization but still i get the errors above.

Any thoughts why this occurs now?

Flash of unstyled content on page load

When activating Aggregate CSS files option, the web page appears without any styling at first paint as you can see on this image: https://www.cjoint.com/c/JAqsAEGFWst

Option to include CSS in HTML has no effect on this problem.

Using Google PageSpeed my score majorly dropped after installing the plugin.

All the settings were at default and until someone can tell me why it’s loading 532KB and adding 6,330ms I’m going to think this plugin is garbage.

Hi I had one problem with excluding the one js.

First I contact to wp-rocket and explain them that I have in developer mode error and they told me:

The error you are getting is this one:

It comes from the fact that the file is combined from Autoptimize.

If you bypass Autoptimize, you’ll see that the issue is not there, even though WP Rocket is caching the page:
https://s-deal.eu/?ao_noptimize=1

You’ll have to exclude the following URL in Autoptimize’s settings:
/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js

So I made check and saw that this js is excluded but after that they replay to me:

Although it’s added in the field it’s not excluded:

You’ll see that the jQuery file isn’t there. Instead it’s in the combined file produced by Autoptimize:

It’s out of the scope of our support to troubleshoot Autoptimize. Please disable it and activate the respective features in WP Rocket.

PDF Embedder stops working again

After my PDF plugin stopped working, I inserted the strings given at the page below. Following this, the PDF documents were displayed correctly.

However – this week, after updating a number of plugins (including Autoptimize), the PDF plugin stopped working AGAIN.

I repeated the steps above – but this time it did NOT fix the problem.

Can you please suggest what I should do.
