Auto updated, despite automatic updates being turned off

Hi – I use your plugin on around 30 sites where the WordPress auto-update option is turned off for all plugins. We use a manual process for updating plugins to ensure an efficient cache rebuild across sites on our dedicated server, and having the auto-update off is very important for this.

I received 30 emails this morning alerting us that the Autoptimize plugin has auto-updated (despite WordPress auto-updates being turned off at WordPress level, site level, server level, cPanel level, and hosting level. (This has been confirmed). No other plugins have self updated in this way since this feature was included in the last WordPress update. Even instances where the Autoptimize plugin was not activated have auto-updated.

Please can you ensure the Autoptimize plugin respects the WordPress settings when auto-updates are disabled? We have removed the Autoptimize plugin in the meantime and will reinstall it once this issue has been rectified.

Hallo,
Is there an option to deactivate the caching function of the Plug-in?
My Hosting Provider said that the caching function could lead to problems because they have an own caching function on their servers.

hi there,

using your plugin for years and loving it for its simplicity and reliability.

now, after the security issue lately my hosting provider suggests me to not use this plugin anymore due to potential issues with their server-side nginx cache.
reason: two not identical caches. AO cant handle extra caches. minified assets are not in both caches (only in AO) which can potentially lead to errors due to missing assets.

not enough knowledge here to judge whether this is completely true… in fact i used AO on their servers for years without encountering any problems alike.
sometimes some missing content on frontend after changes without clearing caches, but thats not unusual at all imho.

whats the story behind?
are they right? and if so – what can be done from AO to cure this issue?

Hi,

Thank you very much for the plugin. Very complete and easy to use.

I’m having an issue with inline and defer CSS.

The theme already have inlined CSS with an ID tag. So i just checked the inline and defer option without filling it with CCSS. But it seems it doesn’t have much gain in perfs, and is also causing cls issues.

Any idea of what’s wrong with that?

Autooptimise disabling wp-login

Hi all,

I have strange problem with Autooptimise.

My images were not displaying, (I installed jQuery migrate helper).

When it is active I cannot login (there’s been critical error on your website), when I delete it images are not properly displayed.

AO enabled causes productimage+gallery to stay in loading modus

Hi,
I just found out that images on my product pages are not showing. They are in “loading” mode, while I can see they’re (blurred) available.
When I disable AO they images are working.

I’m using woo-variation-gallery, but when I disable it all images are not showing (no “loading” overlay either). I have disabled all image-related settings in AO to no avail.

FOUC when Inline and Defer CSS with Critical CSS

Hello,

I get a brief, but noticeable flash of unstyled content (FOUC) when I have the “Inline and Defer CSS” option selected. I’m also using the paid version of Critical CSS. Can you help me prevent this FOUC from appearing?

Autoptimize Conflicting with Rvslider

Hello Dear,

my frontpage crashed when I activate Autoptimize, you could check the attached link.

here is what I see at rvslider area, and in the rest of the page very large spaces will be generated.

Oops...
You have some jquery.js library include that comes after the Slider Revolution files js inclusion.
To fix this, you can:
    1. Set 'Module General Options' -> 'Advanced' -> 'jQuery & OutPut Filters' -> 'Put JS to Body' to on
    2. Find the double jQuery.js inclusion and remove it

Also, it is crashes another site’s frontpage no codes showing but the elements are not aligned well.

Phone optimization issues

Hi there.
I have a problem on my habo.ro site
Autoptimize works fine and brings an improvement in the gtmetrix scan, but on the phone it reduces the size of the images and moves them to the right side of the phone.
Only on the phone.
I checked the settings one by one, so that I could see where the problem was coming from, and I noticed that this only happens when “Optimize CSS Code” is checked.
How can I solve this problem without unchecking “Optimize CSS Code”, because … normally, I need it.

Lazy-load exclusions not working?

I have fonts set at “Combine and link deferred in head.” In tests, I’m still finding separate entries for fonts, for instance more than one entry for fonts.gstatic.com/s/oswald/v35/…

Also, what does it mean that webfont.js is deprecated?
