I am no developer, just a newly hired marketer for a startup that outsourced building their site.
We needed to minify for SEO sake, so after some research, I activated the AO plugin which they had already added but not activated, which helped immensely.
However, after a few days of editing the site in different areas, I noticed the cache was full. I looked into the possible reasons and noticed the box for “Also aggregate inline JS?” was checked, I read this can make the cache fill fast, and it seems it did.
I don’t want to clear the cache as I saw lots of people say that there are very specific steps and not to do it unless you know what you are doing as it can break the site.
My Questions:
Will unchecking the “Also aggregate inline JS?” fix the full cache issue, and/or since I have more work to do on the website, should I deactivate the plugin until I am done cleaning up the site?
