Static cookieless domain path broken when using Autoptimize

hello,

This is basically 100% this issue https://wordpress.org/support/topic/static-file-domain-does-not-work-with-relative-path-css-fonts/

I have configured my site to use a cookieless domain to serve static files.

define("WP_PLUGIN_URL", "https://static.protestkit.eu/plugins");
define("WP_CONTENT_URL", "https://static.protestkit.eu");
define("COOKIE_DOMAIN", "www.protestkit.eu");

The domain static.protestkit.eu/ points to absolute path

/domains/www.protestkit.eu/wp-content/

It works on 99% of files, except those optimized by Autoptimize (no errors when I disable the plugin).

With Autoptimize error 404:
https://static.protestkit.eu/wp-content/plugins/wp-optin-wheel/public/img/wheel-yellow.png

Without Autoptimize:
https://static.protestkit.eu/plugins/wp-optin-wheel/public/img/wheel-yellow.png

Compare pictures here: https://imgur.com/a/bM2k47x

I really want to keep using Autoptimize, but i don’t want to sacrifice one performence tweak for another. Is there an easy fix?

thank you in advance!

Site crashed, loading only html

My site recently crashed and when restored to functioning status via backups, showed only html and no css.

I disabled and restored plugins one by one until I realized the culprit was Autoptimize.

Everything had worked fine since I first installed the plugin about two months ago, using recommended settings, to improve site speed.

Any suggestions on which settings would be most likely to cause site loading issues?

Thanks!

Aggregated Inline CSS – Can it effect styling on other pages?

$

I add a lot of custom CSS via Avada’s built-in custom CSS component, which is designed to apply the styles only to the specific page in which the CSS was added.

Were I to turn on “Also aggregate inline CSS,” would I theoretically run the risk of one page’s styles overriding a rule found on the “current” page I might be visiting? In other words, might the styles of one page then be applied to a page where the style was not intended to be applied? Does Autoptimize generate these aggregated inline CSS files on a per-page basis, or will that aggregated inline CSS file be loaded everywhere (barring some specifically programmed “rule”)?

For what it’s worth, I already have “Aggregate CSS-files” checked and activated.

If that aggregated inline CSS file does get loaded everywhere, is there any way to add some sort of priority based on the original inline source of the pre-aggregated CSS?

Thanks man. Your plugin is nothing short of remarkable. This is by no means intended to be a complaint, more so just a curiosity in some hopes of potentially squeezing any extra bit of performance improvement I can out of it.

Hi,
I am relatively new to WP and trying to work on SEO and Cacheing for one of my client sites. After installing Autoptimize I have received my first email informing me that the Cache size is getting large. I wondered whether anyone could recommend a method to automatically delete the cache or any other actions that should be taken? The site is using a template with the Premium Coding editor.

Hello there,

Something is converting my background images (a few logos) into an svg data image.

Can you help me figure out if is Autoptimize doing it?

The option to do it isn’t selected on the settings.

But maybe it’s happening anyways?

Hi, i arrived here after a few weeks of testing Autoptimize plugin and have the same problem with the diacritic fonts. As i have test, this is give it by the cache plugin, any of them, i have test severals, now i work with Cache Enabler.
So, here is what i see after testing, when i open a post from the webpage work fine as fonts displayed, but when i try to open again the same post, when is take it from the cache folder i guess, it brings displayed error on diacritic fonts like ş,ă,ţ,â and so on…If i deactivate the cache work fine but very slow
So i can’t go any further with test of what do the cache, or how fast is opening a page, because this error still there. I have test different settings give it by the Autoptimize and Cache Enabler plugins.
Any advice could be helpful, thanks.
Regards, Viorel

p.s.-this error is active, only when i open the site from the browser when i’m not login into the admin wordpress panel, in the admin panel the fonts are displayed corectly, that’s the reason for the source of error, i mean the cache…

Hi,

I am getting error some of my enqueue js file not working properly when i am selecting “Aggregate all linked JS-files to have them loaded non-render blocking? If this option is off, the individual JS-files will remain in place but will be minified.” this option if i deselect this option code works properly.

Tried with exclude these files, but still not working.

Below is the url of the files.

Font issue on mobile

Hi,

I noticed that the font of the “Acheter” in the grid offer buttons is not correct on mobile.

However, when I deactivate Autoptimize then it’s fine https://chaussurerunning.fr/modele/hoka-one-one-torrent-2-test/?ao_noptimize=1

I reached out to the theme developer and they said to clear my cache but it hasn’t changed anything (I cleared my CDN, site cache and Autoptimize).

Any idea on how to solve this? Weirdly I have other sites with the exact same setup (or so it seems) and the issue resolved there.

Thanks!

Can’t change font size and padding across the site

I can’t change the global font size and padding now. I can’t adjust the padding in Elementor neither.

In the inspect console, it shows the following error message:

admin-bar.min.js:2 Uncaught ReferenceError: elementorModules is not defined
    at Object.714 (admin-bar.min.js:2)
    at __webpack_require__ (admin-bar.min.js:2)
    at admin-bar.min.js:2
    at admin-bar.min.js:2

When I deactivate the plugin, everything gets normal again.

How should I fix it? Are there any conflicts? Will excluding any files from optimization help?

No Cache nor optimized CCSS after restoring staging site

After using AllInOneBackup to backup our Production site and restoring it into our Staging WP 5.5 container instance, we noticed that Autoptimize is no longer caching nor optimizing any CCSS.

When we first introduced AO, freshly installed in Staging, AO worked fine. Now that we installed it in Production and we now restored Production into Staging, it doesn’t seem to be working.

Our dev team was debugging an issue where the autoptimize_XXXXX.css files were not being generated… ultimately tried deleting the AUTO rules in Autoptimize since they (either way) were not hitting the CriticalCSS.com API for updates from Staging.

Now, the AUTO rules don’t seem to be generated again (only is_front_page got created). Even with me browsing the site using an Incognito Chrome window, nothing gets cached nor CCSS-optimized. I looked at WP-cron notes in the AO CCSS UI and have configured a bot to hit our staging home page every 5 minutes (to make sure the WP instance is active).

When we enabled the AO debug flag, the log didn’t really show much (supporting my idea that somehow Autoptimize is not being triggered by the traffic).

Inline & Defer Broke Page Design (Elementor)

I am just starting to use this plugin again and still having problems. I use Elementor page builder and it seems it breaks things in different situations and sites.

This time it did a great job on inline and defer of its own CSS but it brought down the whole page design when I inlined above the fold and entered it.

The instructions are vague and don’t explain the whole process in my opinion for someone like myself who is just learning about code and processes.

I entered the block of code as it says but nothing is said about the placement of the <script>

Reduce Page Load speed for Mobile devices

Hi Team,

We have been trying from over a week to reduce page load speed for the mobile layout.
Our current score in Google page insights is 15, we need to reach at least 50.

Can you please look into this domain and guide us with the exact steps needed to do so?

We have done all the required steps to increase the speed using the plugin.

As a matter of fact, I ran 2 tests:
1. With Autoptimize active.
2. Bypassing Autoptimize settings.

It’s surprising that the test without Autoptimize gives a better score (28) than the one with it (8).

Hi

I’m republishing this post. It’s been 2 weeks since I posted it and I’ve been entertained doing things for nothing.
They even told me they were running tests, but it seems they forgot.

This message is for official AO technicians.

Please refrain from answering, all those who have no idea of AO, those who do not know how to entertain themselves, the occasional opinionated, and those who do experiments, etc, etc.

I need support from you
I have installed their Autoptimiza plugin and WP Fasted Cache

how ùedo reduce requests?
If I check Unify JS files? good results are achieved but the entire web pages are disassembled

I have tried the possible combinations and it does not work well or breaks the site

I hope an AO technician can help me find a better optimization

Hi

Google maps on my contact page loads intermittently. If I disable autoptimize it loads fine every time.

I found this problem a while back and seemed to find a solution. I think there was an option in the extras tab to exclude a url from being combined by autoptimize.

Did there used to be an option or am I imagining it? Can you please suggest a way to exclude the google map from autoptimize?

The map is loaded via an API from :-
https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?

Tips to Resolve FOUC (Flash of Unstyled Content)

Hello,
Autoptimize + LSCache dramatically improves the performance of this Elementor-built website. Finally, an A-score in Google PageSpeed Insights!

However, there is a brief but noticeable Flash of Unstyled Content (FOUC) when loading any page.

Do you have any tips about how to improve this?

Should I use something like sitelocity to generate Critical CSS and add it to “Inline and Defer CSS”?

Optimize JavaScript Code = Checked
Aggregate JS-files? = Checked
Also aggregate inline JS? = Checked
Force JavaScript in <head>? = Unchecked
